I love this place, yeah its small and kinda crappy but its right in the middle of town, its never crowded and if anyone is there its usually mild mannered, Lyons locals and which are a lot different than some of the little trash talkers you get in the city parks.. It's a perfect place to spend a Saturday afternoon, if you wanna take a break and cool down, the river is right there or you can skate down the street and grab a beer at Oscar Blues..

Its a great setup, too often these towns build their skateparks like 10 miles out of town so you miss all the local flavor. You're stuck on some concrete slab in the middle of the plains out by I-25 with nothing else around. Its hard to just get on your bike and ride to a place like Sandstone in Longmont, its just so far out there, that's whats great about Lyons.

The Lyons mini-ramp is perfect if you just wanna work on a trick all day. You don't have to pay for your mistakes here, if you splat on the mini it's usually something you can just laugh about..AND while I'm running down the list of benefits, there's a trailer sewage dump right in front of the park so you get to say 'Hi' to all the old folks as they empty out their RV shiters..What can be better?
